I'm making a daily effort to truly appreciate the greatness in every little thing, and it feels really good.
Here are just a few bits that keep my cup of gratitude running over:
the tiniest perfect persimmon I have ever seen,
the purple and pink hues spread throughout the sunset skies,
tickle fests amongst a pile of pillows,
joining friends for an impromptu coffee,
hearing the crows caw for their morning crackers,
receiving a card from someone special just because,
adding pink sprinkles to a cupcake,
smell of cloves,
warmth of a newly knitted scarf,
pomegranate seeds,
warm cotton flannel sheets,
a helping hand from a stranger.
Wishing you and yours a beautiful Thanksgiving filled with love and gratitude for all things great and small.

Wonderful list. I'm thankful for the beautiful leaves in variety of fall hues. And morning cuddles with my son who says that I give the best cuddles.

ReplyDeleteFabulous things to be thankful for Mel.....wishing you, your family and everyone around your table a wonderful Thanksgiving. XXXX
ReplyDeleteMel, I needed this. I'm pretty overwhelmed with my usual holiday grumpiness - for no good reason at all. I'm going to work on my own list. Today I'm thankful for Emerson's good health and a warm house. And the good friends I've made through blog land. Seriously, your post just turned my day around.
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing it is to be thankful for all the small things in life {and big things}...you are a sweet blessing to us all. Happy Thanksgiving week to you my friend. xoxo

I love this list! And that persimmon is too cute. Whenever life gets crazy I make myself a little gratitude list ... it grounds me ever so quickly. Are you still available to meet on the 5th or did we say the 4th?? I love this space of yours ... it is truly refreshing. xo

There is a poem by John Updike in which he uses the words, "persimmon nightie." the colour of persimmon seems to be unique.
