That Moment ~

Do you ever wish you would have followed a particular dream?

There are times I find myself thinking a lot about 'what if', and then I have to refocus and flood my mind with all the dreams I have followed and all those I plan to keep chasing.

But still, a girl can't be denied that pleasurable wonder of what that moment must feel like right before taking center stage.

  2. I don't care what people say...But "What if's" are a part of life. All this nonsense about not looking back...is blah blah. People will alwasy look back in wonder is natural...There will be forks in the road...and you can only walk one road at a time, but it can't hurt to try and walk another every once in a while.

  3. Dear Mel,
I'm sure that you will reach that particular moment someday. It might take on a different guise but, it will come oneday.
We can all dream and sometimes, the dreaming is better than the reality.
Enjoy your 'what if's ' but also remember the wonderful things that you have in your life that have become a reality.
    Lots of love. XXXX

  4. "What if" will always be in style. The most important thing is to live in the moment.

  5. Beautiful. I try to not dwell on the what-if....but instead to dream about it. Easier said than done some days.

  6. I find it hard to control the tears every year during my daughter's Nutcracker performance. Not because I want to be a dancer, but because I remember "that moment" so clearly, and I remember all the hard work it takes to get there. It's a beautiful thing.

  7. Such a lovely post! I often think of the what if's... and still have my dreams, which might come true one day, because I am working on it....
I can imagine this moment, right before getting to center stage!
I always try to visualize successful moments!

  11. Wonderful image! I was a dancer until I was 20 and I still miss it.

I thought a lot more about "what if" before I had Micah. Now, imagining different life choices might mean I would not have him. And I can't bear that thought. I'm sure you understand.

  12. Yes, I wonder too. Looks like I'm not the only one who stopped at 20. Teaching preschoolers was never the same as taking the stage! But I'm glad I took a different path... it has led me to places I never knew to dream of!

  16. Oh, this post and that photo left me breathless. Yes, a million times yes. I dream about all those what ifs...but you knew that already. I can only imagine what a performer of that caliber feels. Just gives me chills.
