GREENS!

When it comes to my closet, you will not find anything green amongst my black, grey and white wardrobe, but in regards to food - green might just be one of my favorite colors!

Greens juice is definitely something I crave. In fact, my entire little family craves it! Nothing like hearing "Greens please!" to bring a big smile to my face. So every few days, the juicer comes out of hiding, and the stacks of greens (kale, parsley, cucumber, and celery) along with fresh flavor enhancers such as apple, ginger, lemon, and lime gather upon the kitchen counter waiting their juicing fate.

Depending on the season and local availability, the ingredients may vary, but the one constant is the color because GREEN = vitamins, minerals and healthy living galore! MMM good!

  7. Gorgeous images! I'm surprised you don't wear lots of color yourself! Isn't it funny the preconceived notions we have of others? I pictured you with a wardrobe full of vibrant colors! Maybe because that's how your posts always make me feel - so happy and colorful!

  10. Are you growing kale in your garden? I wanted to get some planted this year but we've been making do with chard planted last spring which keeps going and going and going....

Don't have a juicer, but this might just inspire me to get one.

  18. Eating lots of greens regularly makes such a difference to your health, mood and overall complexion. Whenever I start eating more greens I notice a difference instantly. I have a blender for making smoothies (also very good!). Now I want a juicer as well.

  22. This is so funny, because my favorite colors are french-gray and celedon! My wardrobe consists of mountains of black and white, but every now and again you'll find something in a grassy hue! I painted one of our kitchen's "dill pickle" and it makes me smile every time I walk in it! And green juice, excellent. I just got the newsletter from GOOP.com, and there are wonderful recipes for a detox which include some great green elixers!
