Ever since the divinely talented fashionista Dustjacket Attic posted this image on her fabulous blog, I haven't been able to stop thinking about it!
I'm in LOVE! Seriously, I would wear this dress (and shoes) every. single. day! Even to the market because that's how much I adore it.

Woa that is beautiful. It must made her feel like a princess in a dream.
ReplyDeleteI love it too.
ReplyDeleteMy only concern is - underwear? Would you wear none, or nudie underwear, or a slip?
And most importantly, you would have to stay away from the fireplace in that dress. It would go up in a second!!
Those sleeves are something else. What detail!! I understand your obsession. I'd also suggest getting a slip or another dress to put beneath it.
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine how much fun it would be to actually do it? To show up at the market in this dress? You'd feel like the goddess of the bounty. It is glorious, indeed. I could never, never pull off a dress like this, but I have a feeling you could. The shoes, on the other hand, we would both rock! ;D

I love the shoes too! Maybe you could have this made for you, it's so gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the linklove :)
xoxo
Mel...what a gorgeous dress...would be a beautiful dress to renew your wedding vows in..hint hint..
ReplyDeletePS...perhaps a little petty coat though? Cause lets face it..we dont give our bikini line that much attention..lol
Dear Mel,
ReplyDeleteDeej (as I call Dustjacket Attic!) shows the most wonderful clothes and there are many that I covet...this being one of them. It is such a floaty, diaphonous dress and I would just LOVE to see you pushing your trolly around the supermarket in it. If you do, be careful that you don't get it caught in the wheels !!
I know exactly why you love it so much. XXXX
Very floaty and ethereal and totally fits with your personality and ethic on life! Sharon xx
ReplyDeleteI think one should always indulge in something a bit off-the-grid. You would be amazing in this~ the perfect frock for a special dinner and wine by the fire with your sweet McDreamy.
ReplyDeleteI say go for it. But be sure to wear a bra! hehe! It is a gorgeous dress, and if you can pull it off - wear it everywhere!!!
ReplyDeleteInstead of that dream dress, i'd rather have those dream legs!
ReplyDeleteahh...i would love to wear it everywhere too but i am afraid my gigantic boobs would take it from sweet and ethereal to penthouse circa 1978..
ReplyDeletethe shoes though i would KILL in!!!
Divenely gorgeous, go for it and enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWow- that is simply gorgeous! I would settle for a blouse version that I could wear with jeans on the weekend or a pencil skirt during the work week.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! Ethereal yet somehow a bit tough because of that sleeve detail that brings armour to mind. Definitely a market hit.
ReplyDeleteSimply dreamy + romantic!
ReplyDelete...le sigh~
That looks like total bliss. Complete comfort. Although, I would be too afraid to leave the house in it. I love picturing you pushing your grocery cart through the market in it. It really is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGood lord that is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteyes. that looks like a mel dress. goddessy and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful! I'm sure it would look beautiful on you. Was thinking of you yesterday... I was browsing dream real estate in Napa & Marin County area and thought of your beautiful view. :)
ReplyDeletehey darlin.
ReplyDeletejust wanted you to know you won a little something...but that means you have to come read what you won.
i promise you'll be excited;-)

Oh Gosh Melissa this image IS unforgettable!! I think Mr. McDreamy would not stop smiling if his sweet Melissa wore this everyday! You would take this dress to another level with all your beauty!!
ReplyDeleteXO's
Mel, I definitely have to agree with you on this. I love those sort of dresses, its just absolutely fabulous. Hope you've been having a fantastic week, take care! xoxo
ReplyDeletei love the way you are! seriously, your comment just made me smile. so there are normal people out there ;)
ReplyDeleteand that dress...GORGEOUS! however, if my eyes serve me correctly, isn't it see through? hmmm.
I love it. And I have no boobs, thus say...nipples to the wind! Seriously, it is lovely and you could probably find a tiny slip to just give you enough so that you could wear it to the market without prompting mass whispering, and negative chatter among the neighbors!I'd let 'um talk, but might be tough on the rest of the family! Truly lovely!
ReplyDeleteAs others have said, perhaps with a slip or something! I actually think it would be beautiful to get married in........
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for stopping by my blog and leaving me a comment, so nice to meet you!
A dreamy dress so perfect for you Mel. Check out Calypso, I purchased one similar last summer, perhaps they have more??!
ReplyDeletexoxo
