I remember this cover!!! We read the New Yorker religiously every week. Loved this cover then, love it even more now that I know it hangs in the crumb's room. So sweet! xo Gigi
You are KIDDING me with this cover, Meliss! L-O-V-E! If only it were a chocolate lab or a pitt-chihuahua mix (no jokes...that's our Paco), I'd have to frame it, as well.
Perhaps I'll make an exception and do so anyway? It is pink, after all. And Devon ADORES her doggies:)
I think the cover is fantastic.:-) I also think that it is possible to wear chic heels while walking the dog. IF the dog is a small sized dog. I have a 170 lb. Newfoundland puppy named Little Mo and I can tell you that I would not dream of wearing heels to take him for a walk. :-))) I love the colors.:-))))
I got it!! The new Fort Lauderdale Ethnic Food Examiner. Thanks to your blog. I will make sure you get a referral... and gave you a little shout out on my blog today. xoxo
Such a pretty image. I love that you framed such an iconic cover for your little Crumb to grow up with. Pugs really are quite funny dogs. Loads of personality.
OMG Melissa!! The moment I saw this I thought YOU must have it framed! Adorable! An amazing treasure that will ba a part of the little crumbs world forever~~~SO SO CUTE!!! XOXO
We have saved so many New Yorker covers, but we don't have this one! I once entertained the idea of having a powder-room papered in N.Y. covers! This one is perfect for little Crumbs bedroom.
I tried to teach my dog Baby to walk on a leash today after four years without...and we practically had a fight over it. I'm convinced she's pissed at me :(
yes..I love the look. I once did a similar illustration of an afghan hound helping his owner pick out a dress at Bergdorf Goodman...ha. One of the dresses she tries on his nose is in the air and he says.. " now that's what I call a dog!" ha.. I'm finally back into the blog world.. and looking forward to catching up... Do come visit my sight and take a stroll through the garden.. Eliz
I find that there are very little things that are civilized when it comes to dogs... You should have seen me about 32 minutes ago putting a bag of dog food in my car. not cute.
is the artist Ana Juan do you know??? i am in LOVE with a cover of hers from a few years ago of a high-heeled, feathered yellow shoe in a birdcage that I have tried to get a print of.....
