HEATH Ceramics

As if the San Francisco Ferry Building couldn't get any better ~ now Heath Ceramics has opened a new location within the beautiful walls of this historic marketplace.

Most likely, Heath Ceramics creations, with their signature style, doesn't need an introduction. Each piece is still made in their original factory in Sausalito, California and crafted in the same manner as it has been for the past 55 years.

This design driven, small-scale, family owned Bay Area company is a perfect fit with the Ferry Building's unique mix of artisanal, local retailers and restaurants ~ the ideal gathering of Northern California's best of the best.

  4. I love the nesting set. I think it was Heath that a few years back had a Robin's egg blue cream pitcher... and I let it slip through my fingers. Don't let that happen to you. Treat yourself!

  9. I hope they're keeping the studio in Sausalito - I can spend an hour wandering around there feeling the weight and texture of every piece. Then again, one more reason to head for the Ferry Building! :)

  11. I've been wanting to take a trip to their studio but now I don't even have to cross the bridge to get to them. So good to know. Ceramics is totally on the brain today. I just posted an item about Lisa Neimeth whose studio is in SF.

  12. Yet another reason for me to visit SF!!! One of these days, Mel, I will make it out there, and I hope we can meet for a long lunch and a visit to Heath. I'm a huge fan of their designs. One of my girlfriends gave me three perfect little Heath vases this past fall, and they have become some of my most prized possessions. Oh, their storefront in the the Ferry Building looks glorious!

Hope you had a beautiful Easter! xoxo g

There's nothing nicer than hand made ceramics, is there ? My friend is a potter and, I often sit chatting to her while she throws a pot or two.
