Our first trip to Europe will begin in Venice and so I especially love this photograph. But, more importantly, the quote. How true is that?! Enjoy your weekend.
wow and woweee ... talk about an image that pulls you in ... so rich and intriguing ... i could just gaze and gaze at it thinking about who lives there and what their lives are like ... immensely romantic ... even the reality of the mundane laundry has that romantic appeal ... and of course, there's 'anna' ... mmmmmmmmm prairiegirl
I started my blog today with a Venice laundry photo too! Was there in June, without kids. And let me just say, traveling without them for the first time was HEAVEN. Totally recharged the batteries. But I do love showing them the world too (next stop: Mexico). Love the picture of Guapa with the ice cream.
Gorgeous! And one of my favorite places in the world! Thank you so much for your sweet comment yesterday. It's always so great to "meet" a fellow traveler. We are definitely spirits! Have a wonderful weekend! xoxo, alek
Venice is such a special place to me and my family..Looking at the lovely image you posted brings me back there and I can just dream for a few moments of the magical times we spent there.
how pretty is that??!!! although- would suck if a gust wind came a'blowin' through. see ya later stuff! still what an amazing image and i could get lost in it. have a fab weekend! xoj
I recently read somewhere "people in venice probably are sick of tourists taking pictures of their laundry" :) I really loved it and this photo is gorgeous!!
your blog is very pretty! have a lovely weekend :)
Ooooo you naughty girl..... reminding me that this time last year I was in Venice, probably walking past that very washing line ( or should I say floating past!! ).....never mind...I'm going to the Amalfi coast in a weeks time.!!!! Yeah.I think that I've told every blog that I'm going to Italy !!!! XXXX
Gorgeous photo, Melissa, and I love this proverb so much. This reminds me of the story of the apprentice who visits the famous philosopher at his home and finds him in his kitchen doing the dishes. The young man is surprised to see the great man doing such a menial chore, and he says, "Master, what on earth are you doing?" The master replies, "My son, I'm doing philosophy." Thank you for your beautiful comment on my blog this week! xoxo
oh my...i would gladly hop on that "gondole". This is a wonderful pic Mel. I just love the bra slighty flying away! thank you so much for your lovely comment :-) xx Lala
